What is Mantrailing?

Mantrailing is a sport teaching dogs to find people by following their unique scent trail. All dog's have a natural ability to hunt and Mantrailing provides them with an outlet to do this in a safe, controlled and constructive way.
We teach them how to harness their amazing sense of smell and turn it into a super fun activity for pet dog and owner teams to do together.

It’s different from other dog sports in that it’s entirely dog led; the dog’s leading the game and making the decisions.

It’s also very social, it helps you understand your dog, and is suitable for all breeds and ages.

An ideal activity for nervous or reactive dogs as the trails are done one dog at a time.
Great confidence booster for your dog.

Scentwork Class
4 x 1 hour classes
Indoor Training venue
Introduction to Scentwork.
Suitable for all ages over 24 weeks.
All dogs can take part in nose work. The benefits include:
-
Gives your dog a job so they don’t go self employed.
-
Sniffing releases dopamine which makes our dogs feel good and also helps reduce anxiety.
-
Suitable for puppies, adult dogs, older dogs, nervous dogs, dogs in recovery, antisocial dogs, blind or deaf dogs.
-
Stimulates a hyperactive dog in a calming way to reduce energy and provide an appropriate outlet.
-
A great way to share mental and physical exercise with your dog and build a happy relationship.
-
Helps increase optimism through problem solving.
-
Fun and easy to play anywhere, great for a rainy day.
Nose work exercises your dog’s mind and taps into their natural instincts, it is said that ten minutes of sniffing is more tiring than an hour’s run.
Sessions in scent detection will teach you and your dog indication training, scent identification and the ability to search for that scent in line ups and various environments.
It is a low impact activity that not only provides a physical outlet but also activates your dog’s olfactory senses for an intense mental workout.
Scentwork is now a popular dog sport in the UK.
Scentwork UK, for example, runs trials all over the country.
Whether you’re looking for a competitive sport or a fun activity for you and your dog.
Scentwork is for you!
Taught by a Scentwork UK accredited Trainer.
